IETE-SPIT kickstarted its campaign with a one-day workshop on Basics of      

Electronics with Microcontrollers,on 22nd August,2009.The workshop was conducted      

by an expert from Stealth View Embedded Systems,Mumbai.It was attended by 52 students,

from across all branches. An overview of the microcontroller 8051 was given along with     

its architecture and basic instructions.Later,students were given hands-on experience of      

executing Atmel-8535 based programs.The participants,by the end of the session,were able to      

write basic programs and control electronic components like LED,DC motor,LCD etc.with the 

controller.

          The entire workshop was well-received by the students and thus IETE-SPIT began the 

academic year 2009-10 on a positive note.
